How much compensation for whiplash and anxiety? If your whiplash lasted 3–6 months and you also suffered travel anxiety or psychological shock, your base tariff increases from £565 to £595. On top of this, you can claim special damages for any physiotherapy, lost earnings, or travel costs. A typical total settlement for whiplash and anxiety lasting 3–6 months is £1,200 to £2,500.
How much compensation for whiplash and back pain? If your accident caused both neck whiplash and associated back or shoulder soft tissue injury, your claim may include additional non-whiplash injury compensation assessed separately under Judicial College Guidelines. These non-tariff injuries are not subject to the fixed tariff cap.
How much compensation for whiplash with physiotherapy? Physiotherapy costs are recoverable as special damages on top of your tariff award. If you attended 8 sessions at £60 each, that is £480 added to your base tariff. If your symptoms lasted 6–9 months, your total could be £965 + £480 = £1,445 before other special damages.
